Death’s Sorry Letter to a Rich man

Greeting lad I must make amends

Its time to pay for all your sins

I know you were good but that’s not what I want

I’m here for the thoughts that you have brought

You see it’s not what we see that makes you YOU

Its how you think that lets me see

How and when you will come to be

For the holiest of men

Can weave a web of sin

Its whats in our hearts at the end of the day

It’s what is in our hearts that make us pray

The safety we do desire

And we want to escape the fire

But what my friend could save your soul

And keep you from this unsightly hole

There is only one thing and this is true

The only thing that could save you

I’m not him and im def not here to tell you

For you its to late you lived it was GREAT

But now you must give into your fate

I don’t mean to scare you

And this job is not the best

O look at you now your such a mess

Now dry your eyes the time has come

To go on a journey and not to sure for fun

You squandered your riches all for yourself

You couldn’t even help a blind man tie his shoe

It is true you did go to church

But going to church that’s just works

But that doesn’t save you does it

So now you denied

The feeling inside

You thought it would be cool to make your own rules

The master he is a forgiving one

But now its to late my son

You had 89 years to come around

And now you must leave without a sound

Whats that you say?

You most certainly cannot

Why should I let you worn them

No one warned you

So quit blubbering its time to go

And this I thought you should know

Your death will bring sadness like no other

But do they know how you treated your brothers

You will spend eternity feeling your sin

When all you had to do is join in

The family was warm

And full of love

There was a heaven for you above

But you turned your back

Cause you were too good

What could you have done to make it better for the ones you love?

All your riches and all your gold

Will not loosen my deathly hold

So jump on you will bring only yourself

To a lovely place I call hell
